Description
The coral plant consists of four basins with the following measures:
4,80m length, width 1,35m and a height of 0,30m;
they stand from the ground to nearly to the ceiling one above the other.
In the lowest basin are living stones, soft corals to sell, the biology of the breading plant, so to speak.In the two middle basins can be found up to 2500 coral fragments.The upper basin offers place for about 350 to 400 mother sticks.

Before I go into the particulars of the technique with which the plant is operated, I would like to send on ahead some more important information.
A coral reef aquarium only works when the system with which it is operated fits.
Thus the correct nutrient budget in the aquarium water stands in the first place when operating a coral reef aquarium.
Already with 15 years I operated a sea water basin as a hobby. With 26 years, Bernd Mohr put the finishing touches to me.
Over night, he changed my maximally average aquarium into a great coral reef basin with colours that were after a few months
hardly inferior to the colours of his own corals.
Therefore I am firmly convinced that the system of Bernd Mohr can be applied to each aquarium and guarantees best colours and growth.
Bernd`s system is simple to explain with few words.
- 10% water change weekly with salts of the best producers ( Tropic Marine, Preis, GroTech, Reef Crystall, ATI )
-  complete range of nutrients of QFI and GroTech, iodine, strontium. Add trace elements

Now it becomes obvious that this system can be used not necessarily only for enormous aquarium plants.
However, one must consider that a 300-400 litre basin, like the one I operate in my showroom,
is a great and colourful aquarium.The basin offers place for at least 50 corals and for several fish depending
on kind and size.Thus all colours between red, blue and green are in this aquarium which is hardly inferior
to an enormous basin that could not be rearranged due to the high costs.
Zuchtanlage
According to Bernd’s principle I operate my coral plant of 9000 litres
and therefore guarantee best quality and colour of the fragments.
 
With the technology with which the breeding plant is operated,
Bernd Mohr and his wife stood for me with advice and act to the side.
Technique Technical data of the plant
Thus I could profit from Bernd’s experience with coral reefs.
Therefore I decided for:
  • a glass basin from aquarium farmer Ralf Lerbs
  • Skimmer with an Aquaflotor 300 from Schuran
  • calcium reactors for a Schuran with about 50kg and 200kg contents
  • Force pump for  Company Venotec
    Current pump for Tunze stream which rotates with a Osci-Motion
    in a pivoting radius of
    90° through the tank the whole day.
  • lamps from the Lumimaster by Aqua Connect
  • tubes by ATI
  • maximally 14,5Kw/h heating with a titanium heat exchanger
  • 20 Kw/h T5 lighting (240 tubes with ( for each) 80W )
  • 14 times 12000er Tunze stream turned by the Osci Motion
  •   2 x 23500 Ltr. Porce pump by company Venotec
  •   1 calcium reactor by Schuran with 200kg contents
  •   1 magnesium reactor by Schuran with 50 kg contents
