The Nano-Aquaristics

In recent years Korallenzucht Wendel has specialised on corals which are suitable for Nano-Aquaristic.

In the meantime it is possible to keep all colors in a Nano-Aquarium with different species of soft-corals like Goniopora, Caulastrea, Gorgonie etc. In my opinion the Nano-Aquarium from the company Dennerle is well done. In a Nano-Aquarium are no fishes and this is a advantage for the hole system because you don’t need a skimmer. I have got a Nano-bassin for one year now.

My efford and time expenditure mount up to 15% change of water once a week and cleaning of panes, this means the pump, surface extraction and lamp are maintenance free for half a year. For the Nano-Aquariums I have got constructional systems made from reef-ceramics, which can filled at least with 10 corals.

I offer the following possibilities for Nano-Aquariums:

The posivtive effect with Nano-Aquariums are not only the low initial costs but also the very low maintenance expenses because you need just a bit light, little pumps and the coral food comes in with the weekly water change. The whole systems works without tests of water values only the degree of salinity and the temperature has to be correct. You don’t need to invest more than 10 minutes per week in a Nano-Aquarium otherwise you do it more bad than good.   Such a bassin is therefore nothing for a real seawater-aquaria-enthusiast but rather for a desk in an office or as start-up in the seawater-aquaristic.
